Cookies — How Freetempmail uses them

How Freetempmail uses cookies for language preference and Google Analytics site traffic. No ad networks; temp addresses and mail stay out of analytics.

Freetempmail uses cookies for language preference and for aggregate website analytics. We do not run ads, and we do not build a marketing profile from your temporary inbox activity (addresses and message contents stay out of analytics).

Language and URLs

Chinese pages live under the /zh path prefix (for example /zh/features). English stays unprefixed. The path is the primary language signal for search engines and sharing. The language cookie is only a fallback when a URL does not already encode a locale.

Cookies we set

  • PARAGLIDE_LOCALE — remembers your last language choice as a fallback when a URL does not already encode a locale. It does not identify your temporary email address or message contents.
  • Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*, and related) — set by Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js, measurement ID G-NMB4WX1TLS) to measure aggregate site traffic (page views, device type, referrers). These cookies do not store your temporary email address or mail contents. See the Privacy Policy for full detail.

Your temporary inbox session token is stored in the browser (localStorage) so the page can poll for new mail. Clearing site data discards that session. We do not use that token as an advertising identifier, and we do not send it to Google Analytics.

Advertising cookies

We do not set advertising cookies for ad networks. We do not run ad networks on Freetempmail pages. Infrastructure providers (for example Cloudflare) may process requests at the network edge to deliver the site securely; that is separate from reading your temporary mail.

Managing cookies

You can delete site cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking cookies may reset language preferences and reduce or stop Google Analytics measurement, but will not prevent creating a temporary inbox. For broader data practices, see the Privacy Policy.
