How long does a temp mail inbox last?
Your inbox is tied to your browser session. As long as you keep the same session, you can receive and read emails. You can discard it at any time.
Can I receive attachments?

Is it safe to use for signups?

Does Freetempmail store my IP address?
No. Freetempmail does not log the IP address that connected to which temporary inbox. The token that ties you to your inbox lives in your browser's localStorage; we never see it from the server side. Combined with the fact that we do not store message bodies either, the only place a record of your inbox exists is your own device.
How to choose a temporary email service
A disposable email service is only as good as the inbox it gives you. Most providers look identical on a search results page, but they differ on the four things that actually matter: how fast the inbox updates, what they do with your messages, what they log about you, and whether the address survives long enough to receive the email you need it for. Use the criteria below to compare.
What to look for in a temp mail provider
Three things separate the usable services from the rest. Real-time inbox — the page should reflect new messages in under ten seconds, because the email you are waiting for is the one that arrives right after you close the tab. No signup, no data — if a "temp mail" service asks for a phone number, a real email, or a captcha, it has already defeated the purpose. Transparent retention — a service that says "messages are deleted after X" is a service that has actually thought about the problem; a service that says nothing is a service that has not.
How Freetempmail works under the hood
When you click "Create temporary email", we ask the upstream mail provider (mail.gw, duckmail.sbs, or mail.tm — all open-source public-inbox services) for a fresh account. The provider returns an address and an authentication token; we store the token in your browser's localStorage and start polling the inbox every five seconds. When a message arrives, we render it in your browser and stop polling. The address is yours until you close the tab or click "Discard".
What Freetempmail does not collect
We do not read your messages. We do not log the IP address that connected to which address. We do not store the message bodies on our servers — the messages live in the upstream provider, and we stream them to your browser each time you open them. We do not embed third-party scripts, ad networks, or analytics tools. We do not sell data because we do not have data to sell.
When not to use a temporary email
Banking, government, healthcare, or any service where losing access to the inbox would lock you out. Anything you want to log into in 6 months. Primary social media accounts where you need password recovery. If a service refuses to accept a temp address, it usually means they have policies in place to prevent abuse — respect those.
The infrastructure behind Freetempmail
Freetempmail runs entirely on Cloudflare's edge network. The whole product — frontend, server functions, queue polling, attachment sanitization — is a single Worker. There is no shared origin, no third-party DNS, no third-party CDN, and no third-party analytics. Pages render at the edge, in the region closest to you, and the request never leaves Cloudflare's network. That is why the inbox updates in seconds and why there is no traditional hosting bill to pass on to you.
