Understanding Temporary Email Retention Time and Automatic Deletion Rules
Free TempMail uses an intelligent expiration management system that ensures your privacy while providing sufficient usage time. Our system automatically adjusts retention time based on mailbox activity and usage patterns.
Default retention time, suitable for most use cases
Perfect for one-time verification code reception
Suitable for scenarios requiring long-term email reception
To protect your privacy and optimize service performance, we implement the following automatic deletion rules:
Mailboxes are automatically deleted when they reach the set expiration time, including all email content and metadata.
Mailboxes with no activity (no new emails, no access) for 72 consecutive hours will be deleted early.
System regularly cleans up residual data from deleted mailboxes to ensure complete removal.
All deletion operations use secure wiping technology to ensure data cannot be recovered.
All email content is encrypted with AES-256 during transmission and storage
Uses DoD 5220.22-M standard for data wiping to ensure unrecoverable deletion
No user access logs recorded, no personal identification information stored
No. Once a mailbox expires and is deleted, all data is permanently erased and cannot be recovered. This is to protect your privacy.
In Standard and Extended modes, accessing your mailbox or receiving new emails automatically extends retention time. Quick mode does not support extensions.
Expiration mechanisms ensure the 'temporary' nature of temporary emails, protect user privacy, prevent data leaks, and optimize server performance.
